Independent technical assessment for angel investors, family offices, venture capital funds, corporate venture units and M&A teams.
Duration: 1–4 weeks
Most investors do not have an in-house CTO. They rely on the founder’s narrative and transfer money based on a pitch presentation and gut feeling. Technical due diligence is an independent, rapid assessment of a company’s technical reality – carried out by engineers who have built and scaled systems within fintech, SaaS and deeptech. No commercial relationship to the company being assessed.
What we assess
- Code inspection – structure, dependencies, whether a new team can take over
- Ownership check – developer agreements, subcontractor history, open-source licensing risk
- Infrastructure review – servers, cloud setup, backups, single points of failure
- Security review – hardcoded secrets, access control, known vulnerabilities
- Architecture review – design, scalability
- Compliance and data handling – GDPR, data storage, regulatory exposure
- Vendor and dependency risk – third-party dependencies, lock-in
- Team and key-person risk – competency assessment, bus factor
The deliverable is a structured report where technical debt is quantified, risk areas flagged by severity, and an executive summary included.
