From Concept to Enterprise-Ready Compliance Platform
The founders of Arx Compliance approached us with a vision: to disrupt the stagnant world of compliance reporting, an industry bogged down by outdated, cumbersome systems. Seeking to build a platform where users could seamlessly report and track compliance data across various financial instruments, aggregated into one place. The goal was to remove the complexity and fragmentation typically associated with compliance, transforming it into a streamlined, user-centric experience capable of meeting the security and scalability demands of large enterprises
To bring this vision to life, they sought a technical partner with deep expertise in building ventures. They needed someone to collaborate closely with from early-stage prototyping to developing an MVP, and ultimately crafting a robust, enterprise-ready product. Beyond this, they wanted a partner who could help lay the foundation for their internal tech team, ensuring the company was set up for sustainable, long-term growth.
Once the MVP was in the hands of early users and the first pilot client was signed, it became clear that the platform needed to evolve into a full-scale, enterprise-ready solution.
Our venture studio approach allowed us to contribute not just technical expertise but also strategic input, helping shape the product in response to user needs and market demands.
We began by building the prototype, which allowed the founders to collect valuable user feedback and refine the product direction. Afterward, we developed the MVP, ensuring it provided the core functionality for reporting and tracking compliance. Following the development of the MVP, we scaled the project up to a team of 3-4 developers to build out a full enterprise-ready platform within 7 months.
We built the platform using Next.js with TypeScript for the front end, enabling us to iterate quickly while delivering a highly dynamic and responsive user experience. The back end, also written in TypeScript, ensures consistency across the stack and allows for seamless development. For hosting, we deployed the solution on Azure, ensuring secure, scalable infrastructure with all sensitive data stored exclusively in Norway to meet strict local regulations.
To handle the platform’s intensive data aggregation, we developed a search service in Rust. This service, designed for maximum performance, runs separately from the core application, optimising speed and scalability when processing large amounts of global company and security data.
As the platform matured, we helped Arx Compliance hire a CTO through our network and lay the groundwork for building their internal technical team. Our involvement didn’t end there—our team remains engaged, providing strategic guidance and continuing to support the platform's evolution.
